Free Times interviews Christian Lee Hutson

Free Times goes deep with Christian Lee Hutson in advance of his show in Columbia at Conundrum Music Hall:

Hutson’s most recent LP, Yeah Okay, I Know, is exactly the kind of record you want to unknowingly stumble upon. Loaded down with wry and reflective lyricism and enviable melodies, its elegantly layered arrangements foreground the acoustic-and-vocals approach Hutson takes during his solitary live shows while also demonstrating the breadth and depth of his compositional abilities.

Singer-songwriter Christian Lee Hutson is only a few years removed from his teens, but his music distills decades’ worth of pain and angst. Fingertips reviews Annalibera’s single “Black Cat White Cat”

Fingertips pens a beautiful review of Annalibera‘s single “Black Cat White Cat” from the forthcoming debut album Nevermind I Love You, saying:

Holding everything together are two related things: the interval-oriented melody, which floats us up and down the octave via archetypal arpeggios; and singer Anna Gebhardt’s soaring, searing voice, in which I hear rich echoes of the perennially underrated Tanya Donelly. (And if that comparison means anything to you, seriously, don’t miss this song.)
