Weird Mob track “Wired In Parallel” in 7 Bit Arcade

Weird Mob

7 Bit Arcade features Weird Mob song “Wired In Parallel” as the lead-off track in its weekly Singles Round-up:

Aptly based on our love of all things quirky, the first pick of this week is Weird Mob which includes a husband and wife librarian duo who sing tales of their out of this world adventures. They make sweet sugar drenched indie pop melodies in this song. The male and female vocals are warm and fun as they regale us with their journey. They have the sweet beep of the electronic keyboard but also have a raucous crash almost like turbulence at different junctures in the song to keep it as a lively tune.

Album Review: Uber Rock UK reviews The Slowdown’s debut album

The Slowdown - A (album artwork)

Uber Rock (UK) reviews The Slowdown’s debut album A:

[The Slowdown] groove like Aerosmith and Zep at their ’70s peak, but it’s all wrapped up in modern rock melodies and production that give it a contemporary feel. Such as the impressive ‘Left Home’ with its extended instrumental sections giving it ‘epic’ status to my ears…The Slowdown can be proud that they have created a debut album that delivers…a new band worth checking out.

Album Review: Oklahoma Lefty reviews The Slowdown’s debut album

The Slowdown

Oklahoma Lefty reviews The Slowdown’s debut album A:

The Slowdown’s album A is a fascinating mixture of styles and influences. Pulling from everything from U2 to Faith No More (the Mike Patton years) to the Smashing Pumpkins (post Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness) to Tool to Radiohead, The Slowdown has created a sound that is incredibly unique.
