England In 1819’s newest EP, Summer Lightning, is an eerie, industrial piece laden with alternative rock sensibilities and uplifting, airy melodies that illustrate the aptly fitting title…as the group’s ability to capture those maximalist, completely sonically enveloping sounds in the studio has become abundantly clear, their October 30th performance at Chelsea’s Café will give fans the opportunity to see the talented duo live, in action, and hopefully capture some of that magic that is present throughout their latest, glowing body of work.

The Bluegrass Situation premieres Levi Parham’s lead single “Never Coming Home To Me,” from his forthcoming release Avalon Drive, out on CD and digital formats on December 2nd.

Perhaps it’s something in the water — the same iron-heavy tap drink that Woody Guthrie sipped on as a young man — that leads to an inherited sense of melody. Or maybe it’s the secrets of the prairie, whispering on high to young singers of the Sooner State.

The Deli Magazine premieres “Somewhere We Exist,” the first single from Ready Astronaut, the new project from The Slowdown’s Josh Johnson, from the self-titled debut album, officially out on CD and digital formats on Nov. 4th. The Deli praises the song’s “varied selection of tones and timbres. Countless strings, keys, and a melodic lead guitar weave a maypole around the periphery while the track is driven by Johnson’s wispy voice, an acoustic guitar, and solid percussion work.”
